Publish 37 Just Around the Corner

"Publish 37 will be unveiled on Thursday, November 3rd at 2pm Chesapeake time. Typically this means Chesapeake will be unavailable for an hour or so while changes are made to the world. The list of changes is extensive, one of the largest in years. Although primarily fixes, there are a few notable changes, such as proper taming requirements for Cu'Sidhe's, Party Looting off by default, plant security fixes, fixes to commodity deeds for lumber and many, many others.

Chesapeake Harvest Festival Home & Garden Contest

There's an interesting Home decorating contest going on over the at the UO Stratics Chesapeake Forum:

Harvest Festival Home & Garden Contest Rules

  1. Create a home that is owned by you on Chesapeake; that is committed and fully decorated to the theme of Autumn! This can include Hallowe'en, leaves changing colors, the fall crop harvest, cherry blossoms, the coming of winter or anything else Fall-related.

  2. Take a screenshot of your home and submit it on the UO Stratics Chesapeake Forum for open poll judging. (There are many free image hosting sites like www.imageshack.us or www.photobucket.com) If you cannot support your screenshot please contact the UO Stratics Chesapeake Forum Moderators for help.

    All house entries are due in by November 15th.

    If you wish to leave your co-ordinates that would be kind of you for some who may wish to visit your home in person.

  3. On Wednesday, November 16th, a poll will be posted on the UO Stratics Chesapeake forum to vote for best house on Chessy.

  4. On Friday, November 18th at 8pm EST the polls will be over and a tally taken. The winner will be announced after the opening ceremony of the Chesapeake Harvest Festival.

  5. If you are a lucky winner, come to Harvestfest and collect your prize for either 1st, 2nd or 3rd place! Winners will also have their designs permanently placed on the Stratics Chesapeake Section page!

Kefka Assumes Mantle of Leadership from Lissa

Kefka speaks to the guild		 At the guild meeting held Friday night, a solemn changing of the guard took place as Lissa Eldi stepped down as guildmaster of the Fellowship of Virtue and Templar Kefka was nominated and approved by guild vote to succeed her.

After formally accepting the ancient and mystical guild sword, a symbol of leadership, Kefka gave a brief acceptance speech. A man more given to action than words, in his brief speech he vowed to continue the heritage and traditions of the Fellowship of Virtue under his leadership. Lissa Eldi congratulated Kefka on his new position and wished him best of luck and fortune. The guild expressed their warmest thanks and appreciation for Lissa's tenure as well.

Lissa Eldi served with distinction as the guildmaster of the Fellowship of Virtue for over a year and led the guild through many adventures and tribulations including the Despise invasion of the capital city of Britain, the Solen siege of Moonglow, the discovery of the Tokuno Islands amd the trying times heralded by the return of the Heartwood elves.

Templar Kefka becomes only the 4th guildmaster to lead the guild in 4 years.

Zynia Wins Harvest Festival Home Deco Contest

Congratulations to Zynia for her winning entry in the Chesapeake Harvest Festival Home and Garden Contest!

Her winning design incorporated several autumn-themed elements at her home, Shackled Hope, located just outside East Britain in Felucca. Garnering an impressive 48% of the votes over the other entrants, Zynia's home was a labor of love although she mentioned that all the other entries were "very clever and original".
