Posted By: Tancred Redstar

Picture from Britannian year 336 with Sinoval, Shain, Shen and Tancred
Today the Fellowship of Virtue[*V*] observes it's birthday in the lands of Sosaria. Entering it's 4th year of life, the Fellowship has always stood for friendship, camraderie, fun and the 8 Virtues. Over the years, as with the lands of the realm, it has had it's up's and down's, victories and defeats, friends and enemies. Through it all, it's core values have remained the same and will continue to do so in the ages yet to come. The guild member's party is scheduled for Thursday.

Whether you are a guildmember, old friend, wandering visitor or even just curious, please stop by the guild message board to say hi!

Anniversary Party at Guild Tower
Posted By: Tancred Redstar

Grand Celebration at the Guild Tower
The Fellowship of Virtue celebrated it's 3rd anniversary in style with a grand party at the guild tower. Hosted by Lissa Eldi, the party lasted the course of the night and featured games, contests and other fun. Among the activities were a looting race, some clue hunting and a 6x6 prize square.

In addition to the guild, there were a number of special guests, namely long time friends of the guild including members of KCR, citizens of PaxLair or others adding to the celebration. The Fellowship embarks upon it's 4th year and hopefully many, many more to come!

Orcs and Fellowship battle for Hidden Fortress
Posted By: Tancred Redstar

The Fellowship's team
In a rematch from the defeat at the hands of the Orcs in PaxLair 2 weeks previous, the Fellowship defended the Hidden Fortress in Malas against the Orc assault. Unfortunately, the Orcs could not be stopped as they successfully broke through the defenses and poured into the fortress, winning the game.

In a replay of the assault, this time with the Orcs attempting to hold the attack at bay, the Fellowship breached their defenses and also managed to enter the fortress with Kara successfully extracting the objective item to win the round.

It was an exciting night of mass siege warfare complete with barricades, battlements and assaults. It is hoped another night of Storm the Castle can be held soon!

Fellowship Helps Lead Crusade to Free Britain
Posted By: Tancred Redstar

The Battle for Britain
Last week, Panica of the Dark Alliance[TDA] issued a plea to the people of Chesapeake to respond to the invasion of the capital city, Britain. For more than a few days, the enemy army has occupied the capital, having marched forth from the dungeon Despise.

Groups of concerned citizens had tried attacks against the invaders, but the efforts lacked the large numbers necessary to remove the enemy army. Based on Panica's passionate plea, Tancred lent his voice to the call, approving with Lissa that the Fellowship should come to the aid of the realm as an organized fighting force.

Tancred proposed the Fellowship mass for an assault at the South Gate in Britain and let the news spread that the Fellowship would undertake this task. Soon, other guilds and towns from across the land responded to the call to Retake the Capital City, Britain.

At the appointed time, the Fellowship arrived in Britain and was greeted by Winfield, Mayor of PaxLair. With him were a number of citizens also ready to take back Britain. As the armed group made it's way to the South Gate, there awaited a massive army of people intent on beginning a grand battle. Many guilds, many unaffiliated people, all manners of persons, even orcs, but all were there to take back the city.

As the battle began, losses were heavy and quick, but as the evening wore on, the enemy army was slowly evicted from Britain and then pushed beyond the confines of the city to the cemetery. Once defeated there, the battle continued out into the forest until, finally, the mountains came into view. At this last battlground, the hour was late and the fighting vicious, but the people of the realm, the people of Chesapeake ultimately held the day. A more concise history is being written and will soon be released!

Guild Meeting Held, Interesting Grave Discovered by Tancred
Posted By: Tancred Redstar

A clue to the invasion?
Thursday's bi-weekly guild meeting was convened at the guildtower to discuss various topics. Among the items, Megatron was duly nominated and voted into the guild by the members present. There was a bit more discussion on the mage title topic, but still no concise determination made. Another matter addressed was the status of inactive members, many of whom have been rumored to have flocked to the fabled lands of Azeroth, perhaps never to return.

A measure was brought up for discussion by Lissa and then approved by guild vote where the guild law was amended. The approved measure stipulates inactive guild members may be removed from the stone if not heard from for 2 months. Additionally, they are most welcome to rejoin the guild upon their return.

Just as the meeting was winding down, Tancred suddenly began darting about the guild hall. After some commotion and the request for other interested parties, Tancred broke the news that he had been deep within Despise earlier in the evening and made a startling, perhaps paramount, discovery. Although whispered in rumor across the lands, it had been said a Gerrold Tiggins was the first human killed as part of the invasion of Britain by the enemy army from Despise. Up to this point, the mere name of Tiggins had merely been rumored. Tancred cautiously announced that he had in fact located Tiggins's grave deep in Despise! Immediately an armed force was assembled the made it's way to Despise. Probing deeper into the dreary depths of the dungeon, Tancred finally led the group to the spot he had just discovered an hour prior. And there it lay, a simple grave marked only with the name "Gerrold Tiggins" on the headstone.

Several methods were brought into employ to seek to interact with either the spirit of Tiggins or some other force in the hopes of affecting the Despise invasion. All efforts at resurrection, spirit speak, exploratory excavations and other measures failed to produce anything tangible. With envoys from PaxLair and Nidaros present, the news was immediately relayed on. Perhaps the grave will come into significance should the enemy army be pressed from Britain as it was recently...

Chesapeake Triathalon Held
Posted By: Tancred Redstar

The Race Afoot!
Monday night was the Red Wolf Cafe's semi-annual Chesapeake Triathalon. This epic race crosses the entire Trammelian continent by foot, mount and boat. Runners met up at the Red Wolf Cafe to hear the rules reviewed before heading off the Skara Brae. Once there, they lined up on the docks waiting to begin. At the signal from Tancred, the crowd rushed forth, running along the road from Skara Brae towards Britain. Once the at Red Wolf Cafe, they quickly mounted their steeds and rode north to the crossroads. From there, they headed east, the lead swapping back and forth many times between the racers. As they passed the Compassion Desert, Kara's mount ran out of stamina and she had to drop out - one down!

As the remaining group passed Silvervale and on towards Vesper, the pack began to lengthen out. Some of the racer's mounts were nearly out of breath. Arriving at the docks Vesper, the pack had thinned to just 5 racers as the seaborne phase of the race began. Making a strong wind out of the harbor, a small flotilla of ships began to flow towards Moonglow. There, at the docks, a small group of spectators awaited. Their wait was not long at all as a ship came into view - it was Marcaaus[SH]! He was soon followed into the harbor and the finish line by Neo of PaxLair, who took second place, and then the Fellowship's own Magni[*V*], who won third.

When the last of the racers made it into port, everyone headed back to the Red Wolf Cafe for the awards ceremony. After Neo and Magni were awarded their checks, Marcaaus stepped forward to receive his first place prize of 50,000 gold. To the astonishment of some, he suddenly donned a very familiar looking cloak! It appears the infamous Pink Pirate had been in the crowd's midsts all along!

Additionally, although he was lost at sea, a special prize was given to the valiant Fistandantilus, who had just learned to sail that day so he could compete in the triathalon. Although he did not win the race, he did win the admiration of all those present for his excellent effort and determination to do his best. Congrats to all the winners!

Fellowship of Virtue among the Liberators of Britain in Epic Battle
Posted By: Tancred Redstar

Fellowship's Armed Contingent Preparing for Battle
As part of a massive force of the realm's citizenry, the Fellowship marched on Britain Wednesday night in an attempt to win back the capital city from the invading army. Responding to renewed calls from the citizenry, Tancred worked with Winfield of PaxLair to organize an assault on the city. Althought Winfield could not be present the night of the battle given his advanced age, Tancred helped lead the enormous fighting force in tandem with many other notable guilds of the land, as well as other towns and non-associated people.

After hours of grueling combat, pushing the enemy army out of the city, past the cemetery and all the way back to the hills, the horde was defeated. The epic tale of one of the grandest nights in the history of the realm will shortly be retold in a full feature format so check back soon!

Fellowship and Keepers of the Crimson Rose battle in Cove
Posted By: Tancred Redstar

some of tonight's combatants
Thursday night was Open Melee night for the Fellowship. Originally scheduled to be a fun pvp event for the guild, it was expanded to include longtime friends Keepers of the Crimson Rose[KCR]. The two guilds first explored the Arena just east of Umbra in the lands of Malas but opted to use Cove instead. Being an open melee, there were no set rules of teams, it was essentially a battle royale where it was kill or be killed, but all in good fun! Such events are great for building up some experience, attempting different tactics and also getting a peek of what other people can dish out when it comes to a fight.

At the conclusion of the evening, everyone agreed they'd had fun and spoke of having more inter-guild open melees between KCR and the Fellowship soon as in olden times.
