![]() Lissa fends off one of the orcs | The Fellowship met with the Keepers of the Crimson Rose[KCR] and the Kaar Barashalu Orc Clan[ORC] in Cove. The ensuing battle was fierce with casualties all around. Anton[KCR] and his peksy magery made their mark known, as did the Guild Champion of the Fellowship, Kara[*V*]. For the orcs part, they proved suprisingly strong given the common perception they are usually just interested in preying on horses.
With no clear victor by the end of the evening, it was simply hailed as a great fight for all. | ![]() Kara heals a casualty |

![]() Gold Oak of Gyldenfeld |
The Fellowship held it's bi-weekly meeting to discuss various guild matters. Among the topics was a proposal by Tancred that the Fellowship assume protectorate status over the Town of Gyldenfeld. With the recent departure of the remaining non-Fellowship town resident, all current residents were guild members. In addition, a common, yet persistent, misconception over the years has been that Gyldenfeld had been a guild town under the Fellowship of Virtue. In an effort to straighten out matters and to simplify the administration of the town, Tancred's proposal was considered and then put to vote.
The measure passed and Tancred, being the current mayor of Gyldenfeld, was affirmed to continue his role in the town's administration as the Representative. |
Among Tancred's first acts under the new governmental structure was to affirm the goals and philosophy of Gyldenfeld wherein all are always welcome. He next composed a letter addressing the Kaar Barashalu Orc[ORC] clan which had recently been noticed building an outpost at the southern border of Gyldenfeld. In the letter, Tancred requested a meeting with the orcs to discuss a peace treaty and offered a welcome gift of some horses. The letter was then dispatched by courier to be delivered to the orcs.

![]() Orcs go into a rage at prospect of peace |
Dire news out of PaxLair has reached Gyldenfeld regarding the orc situation.
With the Fellowship of Virtue assuming protectorate status over Gyldenfeld recently, Tancred had composed a letter and sent it to the orcs offering to hold a meeting to discuss a peace treaty. The orcs, of the Kaar Barashalu Orc Clan[ORC], had recently been sighted constructing a small fortress outpost on the southern border of Gyldenfeld. The letter was indeed received by the orcs, but unable to read the Common language, the orcs had their human slave, John Duke, read them the letter. After hearing what the letter said, the orcs went into a rage at the mere thought of peace and issued a reply with the following demands: |

![]() Orc situation discussed |
The Fellowship held it's bi-weekly meeting to undertake guild business. Among the more pressing topics was the recent response from the Kaar Barashalu Orc Clan[ORC] which had recently constructed a small fortress outpost at the southern border of Gyldenfeld. Tancred had sent a letter offering to arrange a meeting to discuss peace. The orcs were enraged at the prospect of peace and issued a reply with several near-impossible demands(see prior News story).
As Tancred recited the orc demands in the guild meeting, incredulous members laughed and guffawed. Finally, some became a bit uneasy and even indignant that the orcs would presume the town of Gyldenfeld would even consider the demands! |
Incensed at the petulance of the orcs, a response was quickly drawn up of counter-demands by those present which included:
![]() Aurora Eldi | In addition to the orc-related crisis, the meeting also saw the induction of two new guildmembers, Blood and Aurora Eldi! Both are welcome additions to the Fellowship and had been in the prospect stage for a while. Please give them a warm welcome if you have not had a chance to meet them yet. | ![]() Blood |
