Fellowship Aids in Building the Defenses of Moonglow, Tancred proposes Strategy
Posted By: Tancred Redstar

South Gate chosen first
Heeding the call to assist in the defense of Moonglow once more, the Fellowship set out to do what it could. Tancred surveyed the scene and assessed the defenses. He concluded that since the Solen army and it's allies are ahead in their effort to build fleshrenderers, the defenders of Moonglow should focus on building the gate barricades one at a time instead of all four concurrently. This way, when the attack comes, at least some of the barricades will be constructed so the enemy may only enter through the open ones. The south gate was selected first due to it being ahead the most resource-wise, is closest to the Solen encampment and, as it is the only of the four gates without doors, would be the hardest to defend. Tancred proposed this strategy to all who would hear him.

The Fellowship spent hours in both Destard and Ilshenar, near the shrine of Valor, slaying dragons and drakes to collect red scales. The efforts of the Solen army are disheartening to the defenders of Moonglow, but the battle is not yet lost so there is still time to make a difference!

Scroll Spawn Raided, July Event Calendar Posted, Maps section Updated
Posted By: Tancred Redstar

aftermath
The Fellowship attempted a scroll spawn late this morning in Felucca with friends Xotche of Meade, Neo of Lothlore and McBeth. In due time, the the vermin Champion was summoned. The battle was progressing well when the notorious Champs attacked.

Although control of the spawn was lost and the Champion not defeated by the group, some managed to escape the raid with a handful of lesser power scrolls.

In other news, the July event calendar has been posted. There are still a few open days left for more events to be scheduled. Contact Tancred if you would like to host an event!

The Maps section has also been updated with the location of the new guild tower in Trammel.

Lastly, the fixes and changes for Publish 25 have been formally announced by EA. The items on the list are many, most notably changes affecting archers and parry mages. The publish will likely be released within the next few weeks.

Fellowship Joins Effort to Supply Red Scales to Moonglow Defense
Posted By: Tancred Redstar

South Gate effort
Responding to a call from Xotche of Meade, the Fellowship joined in a coordinated effort to gather red scales for the the defense of Moonglow last night.

Meeting at the crossroads west of Britain, the dozen or so stalwart souls traveled to the Fire Temple to slay dragons and drakes for the harvesting of their scales. After a couple hours of non-stop combat, the scales were rushed to Moonglow and deposited at the gates. The scales are one of the needed resources to build barricades before the Solen army counterattacks.

First Barricade in Moonglow Complete, Scramble Race Tonight
Posted By: Tancred Redstar

South Gate Barricade
After a tremendous effort from citizens across the realm, the first first barricade in Moonglow has been completed!

Serving as a defensive position at the southern gate, the barricade took days to construct. Now complete, it will help protect the city from the Solen army massing to the south, currently busy with contruction efforts of it's own, namely a horde of fleshrenderers.

While the barricade stands as a testament to the will of the people that Moonglow should not fall, there are still three other barricades to be built at the east, west and north gates. The Fellowship has fervently contributed to the defense of Moonglow and the building of the barricades will continue until the final outcome.

Tonight at the Red Wolf Cafe, Anton of the Keepers of the Crimson Rose[KCR] will be hosting a new event entitled "Scramble" starting at 9pm EST. As always, the public is invited and there is no entry fee to compete.

Simply billed as a special race, the challenge is to see who has the quickest wit and the quickest feet!

Fishing Trip nearly turns into a "three hour tour, a three hour tour..."
Posted By: Tancred Redstar

hefty sea harvest
A fishing trip was held Tuesday evening, embarking by ship from the docks in Nujel'm. The kind Ore provided a seaworthy vessel for the fishing crew and they soon made sail northwards from the island city.

Through the course of what was almost a "three hour tour" the party snared several sea serpents by fishing rod while a drunken pirate related ribald tales about a few of his many former wives. A handful of nets brought along by Kara also yielded fine results. A dolphin was also sighted, known to be a good omen among seafaring folks.

By the end of the evening, the group piled up their catch and had managed nearly two dozen messages in a bottle, a few treasure maps, scales, hides and a modest amount of gold. In addition, Lissa stored away some nets for the next fishing trip.

Chesapeake Regatta Results
Posted By: Tancred Redstar

Lliao wins the Pirate Contest
Last Monday saw the monthly Chesapeake Regatta held in Nujel'm. Beginning at the Red Wolf Cafe, the racers waited anxiously for the starting gate which would take them to the docks for the grand prix-style sendoff. Conspicuously absent from the group of contenders was Neo of Lothlore. Having won the previous four regattas in a row, his absence whetted the courage of the racers.

With the opening gate, the pack was soon off to begin the race, making a strong wind off the southern end of Nujel'm. The first to complete the course was the mysterious Junius Venetor who won with a time of 18 minutes and 14 seconds.

Fellowship Invades Lair of Balrons, Reminder of Looting Race Monday Night
Posted By: Tancred Redstar

Into the depths of a dungeon
An assault was made into the depths of Ilshenar Friday night. Led by Ignis Corus, the group journeyed through Ilshenar til arriving at a large stone edifice. Taking the plunge, the party penetrated through four levels of the evil infested dungeon at last arriving into a lair beset by a pair of balrons. With a heroic effort, the team battled the vile creatures and their host of companions which included efreets and elder gazers.

The battle was hard fought, with both sides suffering losses through the onslaught of continuously appearing balrons and other monsters. Merilonna soon joined the fray with her bardic skills and the humans quickly established a domination over the area.

As a reminder, Monday night at the Red Wolf Cafe will feature an exciting Looting Race hosted by Lissa Eldi and Kara. The fun begins at 9pm EST sharp and will include some nice prizes as well so don't be late!

As with all Red Wolf Cafe events, there is no entry fee and everyone is invited. Complete rules and details will be announced prior to the start of the race.

Looting Race Results and a GateKeeper Visitation
Posted By: Tancred Redstar

A Looting Race was held Monday evening at the Red Wolf Cafe. People from across the realm came in hopes of finding the lucky daggers to score points and win gold.

Each of the three races, held in a different mystery city, also had a suprise twist - a pair of prize runes. The first person to find a rune and arrive at the location it led to received a pick at a special prize at the end of the night. The three cities turned out to be Papua, Trinsic and Minoc.

For the most daggers found through the course of the three races, Krissyzm won third place and 10,000 gold. A tie was discovered between Templar Kefka and Faust D'Barder which then led to a tie-breaker match in which the two squared off in Cove, the first to find the hidden dagger to take all.

The crowd waited anxiously in the cafe for one or the other to appear first, signifying victory. People began to chant for their favorite, even wager gold as to who the winner would be.

Finally, bringing forth the hidden dagger, was Faust, who, for his final effort, won first place and the 50,000 gold grand prize. Kefka took second place and a nice 25,000 gold check.

In the mystery rune competition, Anton found one and chose a prize bag off the stage. Inside, he found commodity deeds for 1,000 of each magery reagent. Gabriel won not one, but two of the mystery rune prizes. One held a copper runic hammer while the other contained powder of fortification.

The GateKeeper appears
The night was a great success and the credit solely belonged to the excellent event hostesses Lissa Eldi and Kara, as well as Sweet Dreams and Death Elemental who also helped with gating and dagger-hiding.

But as the cheers of congratulations died down for the race winners, the GateKeeper suddenly appeared with an urgent task.

Note:GateKeeper Sightings at the cafe will be journaled in the Quests section soon.

The Fellowship of Virtue held it's biweekly guild meeting Thursday evening. Lissa reported the guild vendor hefty with profit. The August event calendar was also filled out and some discussion was held on future events.

But perhaps most important for the evening was the three new faces who stepped forward to join their swords with the Fellowship.

Magni

Deth

With the addition of three venerable souls, the Fellowship continues to grow and propser. Congratulations to each on their new membership and they surely portend great times ahead.

Guild Tournament Results, Hythloth Crawl Tonight, Reminder to Cafe Vendors
Posted By: Tancred Redstar

Force of Arms
The Fellowship's monthly guild tournament was held Sunday evening in the town of Nujelm. The comeptition was fierce with ten contestants but as the evening wore on, the field dwindled to five, and then to three.

In perhaps the most hard-fought match of the tournament, Lissa Eldi and Shen faced off to see who would face the reigning Champion, Masamune. After and extended fight, Shen managed to claim victory in the end to challenge Masamune.

In the title fight, Shen gallantly battled the powerful champion, but Masamune proved once again his mettle and extended his reign for another month.

Tonight in Nidaros, Lissa Eldi[*V*] and Rouge[KCR] are jointly hosting an open dungeon crawl. The target of the expedition will be the fiery depths of Hytloth. All adventurers should meet in Nidaros by 9pm EST and are urged to bring daemon, gargoyle or other appropriate slayer weapons. Nidaros is just a short distance southwest of the guildtower. There is also a rune to Nidaros locked down on the first floor of the Red Wolf Cafe.

As a reminder, the all Red Wolf Cafe vendors are to have their vendors removed from the cafe this evening. See below for full details.

KCR/*V* Hythloth Hunt
Posted By: Lissa Eldi

Massing in Nidaros
Tuesday night a large group of KCR and *V* members descended into the depths of Dungeon Hythloth.

Hythloth is a little traveled place and is home to all manner of Gargoyle and Daemonic Creatures. The group quickly battled their way to the bottom of the dungeon, and there were nearly overrun with Gargoyles and Balrons. They soon gained the upper hand however, and many Balrons fell to their weaponry and spells.

A good time was had by all, with nearly 60,000 gold to show for their efforts at the end of the evening! After a portion was taken for the coffers of each guild, the rest was divided among participants, and it was decided that more joint hunts must be planned soon!

Net Toss Hunt turns into Sea Serpent and Kraken Slaughter
Posted By: Tancred Redstar

Slaughter in Buc's Den
IIfer[*V*] volunteered to put on a Net Toss at the Red Wolf Cafe Thursday evening. Assisted by Tancred, IIfer led the group to the quiet docks in Buc's Den. The placid harbor didn't remain that way for long!

With dozens of nets, great denizens of the deep were entangled and brought forth to the surface, angry and ready to sample the tasty humans on the dock. For over an hour, the group battled the monstrous sea creatures, the floating corpses crowding the dock. After exhausting the last of the nets, some later supplemented by Kara and Sweet Dreams, the group headed back to the cafe to divide the loot. The haul included stacks of treasure maps, arm fulls of messages in a bottle, stacks of gold and, of course, fish steaks galore.
